Canada is a country of oligopolies (I mean just look at the telecom or banking sectors), and when it comes to grocery stores there's no exception. This chart lists most of the grocery store (and those stores that predominantly sell food) ownership structure in Canada. My intention with this chart is to educate Canadians around how concentrated our grocery industry is, and how one company is more than just one banner.
